At Volumental, we’re passionate about creating a great shopping experience and helping people find the best products for them (both fit and style) - starting with shoes. To do that we 3D scan people’s feet and use AI to find or create shoes that fit you perfectly. This data also helps our customers, mainly world leading brands, to develop better products. Volumental’s 3D technology is currently live in 800 stores in 35 countries.

We’re in a strong growth phase. In two short years, since we rolled out our first scanner in 2016, we now help thousands of people every day find shoes that fit. Our solution is a crucial part of making footwear retail more efficient, personalized and sustainable. We do this by utilizing our beautifully designed high tech software and hardware, at present unparalleled in the global retail industry.

Volumental is a young and supportive company with a friendly and talented team of 30 people, currently comprising 14 nationalities speaking over 20 languages. We have a collaborative atmosphere and believe in developing our employees and growing our business while having fun at work.

What will you do?

  • Be the outward face and voice of our technology. You will work closely with our product and tech teams to understand how the Volumental solution works so that you can explain it to customers, whether they are R&D engineers, IT integration engineers or marketing professionals. This includes developing an understanding of how 3D scanning and reconstruction works, how we work with integrations and customizations and how we use AI to deliver product recommendations.

  • Maximize the value we create -for customers, end users and our company. You will understand how we can best solve the customer’s pains and add value whilst being in line with our product development goals.

  • Convey customer feedback to the product and tech teams. As an engineer in a customer facing role you will play an important role in ensuring our product and tech teams receive feedback from customers and potential customers so that we are able to continuously improve our product.

  • All the other things! One day you may be in a meeting with the head of R&D of a global shoe brand and the next day you could be manning the support mail. We’re growing, but we are still a startup and you need to thrive in an intense and very collaborative environment.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

We are excited about you because:

  • You are a collaborative team member with low prestige, willing to jump in where needed.

  • You have software development experience and a keen interest in business and sales. You are looking for a growth role that goes beyond traditional engineering or technical work.

  • You are easy to talk to and can adapt your communication style. This role will require you to communicate extensively with both customers and our internal tech and product teams; you need to be able to both ELI5 and get deeply nerdy.

  • You are willing to travel. We work with customers around the world and this role will require travel to attend customer meetings and conferences.
